Charles Bett - Managing Director

Charles Bett, Managing Director of Simba Financial, gained a B.A. Honours Degree from Bournemouth University studying Business Studies and French, followed by fourteen years experience working as a Sales Trader in the European Stock Markets, prior to setting up Simba Financial Training and Recruitment.

Charles started his career Sales Trading French Equity Derivatives to UK and European trading desks and funds at NatWest Markets.

This role provided the valuable insight into what Clients in a different geographical location need from their local Brokers, namely the need for the local Broker to be the ‘eyes and ears’ in the market for them.

After four years, he moved to the leading French Equity Derivatives Brokerage at Dexia Securities, joining their Equity Derivatives team sales trading derivatives to Global Funds and Banks. Charles helped set up their Equity Trading platform broking to UK and US Clients which grew into a stand-alone platform with Sales, Sales Traders, Execution Traders and a Research Department of fifteen analysts.

After seven years Charles joined Cantor FitzGerald, one of the leading independent brokerage firms that trades Equities, Commodities, Currencies and Derivatives, as a Senior Sales Trader trading European Equities. He was then employed in the DIFC to set up a sales trading desk for Libertas Capital to execute orders for Global Institutions
